What we build, and how it works

Four ways to work together. They step up in size, and each one is meant to be worth doing on its own, not just as a doorway to the next.

We don't publish rates. Every engagement is quoted after we scope it, and you get the number in writing before anything starts. Below is the shape of each one.

The Raptor Session

One session Packaged, fixed scope

Ninety minutes together. We learn how your business actually runs, find where AI can do the most work, and set your tools up with your business loaded in before we finish. This is the front door.

  • A business foundation document, three to five pages. The context every AI tool you touch afterwards draws from, written in portable markdown aligned to Google's Open Knowledge Format. Yours to keep.
  • Three quick wins identified, scoped, and rated for effort and impact. Not built yet, ready to act on.
  • An AI starter kit configured and tested: Claude or ChatGPT set up with your business context loaded, and custom prompts for your top three daily tasks. You leave actually using it.
  • A recording of the session, and a 30-minute follow-up call at week three.
Timeline One week from session to delivery Credit Applied in full against a Sprint started within 90 days

AI Build Sprint

Two to four weeks Fixed scope, quoted per build

One problem, scoped tight, shipped. We build it, test it, and hand it over with documentation and a walkthrough. One build, one problem. Three things is three Sprints, or a retainer.

Straightforward A single workflow, one or two platforms, clear scope.
Moderate Multi-step automation, API integrations, custom prompts.
Complex Multi-system integration, an agent with real business logic, a custom app.
  • A working system, deployed and tested, with setup documentation you can maintain it from.
  • A walkthrough video, two rounds of revisions, and 30 days of post-launch support.
  • A capped block of build time, agreed in the brief before we start.
Timeline Two to four weeks Scope Locked at kickoff with a signed brief Changes Documented, re-quoted, approved before work continues

AI Retainer

Monthly Three-month minimum, then month to month

A steady build partner. One monthly call to set direction, then Simon builds, iterates and supports through the month. The build is roughly 30% of the result. The other 70% is the tuning as your business, data and tools change, and that is what the retainer actually buys.

Standard A set block of dedicated build, strategy and support time each month.
Expanded A larger monthly block, for businesses in active transformation.
Capped Hours are hard-capped. Anything beyond the cap is approved by you first, never a surprise.
  • A 60-minute monthly priority call, plus async support throughout the month.
  • New automation builds and iterations, tool and strategy recommendations, ad hoc staff training, and foundation document updates as the business changes.
  • A five-point health check run against every live automation each cycle: what it costs to run, whether it still reaches who it should, whether it still does its job, whether its output can still be verified, and whether it is still worth what it costs. Anything that fails gets deleted, not left running on inertia.
  • Unused time rolls over within agreed limits, so a quiet month isn't wasted. Quarterly business review.
Invoiced Monthly in advance Not included Custom app development, paid advertising, branding

Custom Build

Quoted Scoped and quoted per project

Larger standalone projects that do not fit the Sprint model: a full-stack application with a database and AI integration, a multi-department rollout, a bespoke internal tool, or the Raptor Method run across all five phases.

  • Quoted individually against a written scope, with milestone payments through the build.
  • Established clients only. We don't take large custom builds from cold leads. There is too much that has to be understood first for that to end well for either of us.

03 Questions

Before you book

The things worth knowing up front, including the ones that might rule us out.

Will you quote me a fixed price today?

No, and that's why there are no rates on this page. We never quote a fixed price without scoping the work first. The number comes after a Discovery Call, and for anything larger, after a Raptor Session. A price given before the work is understood is just a guess with a dollar sign in front of it, and you'd be the one carrying it.

How does payment work?

Sessions are paid up front. Sprints and Custom Builds split between a deposit and delivery milestones. Retainers are invoiced monthly in advance. The exact terms are set out in your proposal before anything is signed, and no work starts until they're agreed. GST is always quoted separately.

Do you host our AI, or hold our data?

No. You run and pay for your own AI tools and accounts, in your own name. We build inside them and support them. If we part ways, nothing switches off and nothing has to be migrated: you keep the accounts, the configuration and the foundation document.

Is this going to replace my staff?

No, and we won't build it if that's the brief. The whole position of this business is AI that runs with your team, not instead of it. We go after the grind, the repetitive and manual work nobody wants, so your people spend their time on the work that actually needs a person.

What if the Session doesn't lead anywhere?

You keep the foundation document, the starter kit and the three scoped quick wins, and you're free to take them to anyone. The document is written in plain, portable markdown rather than a proprietary format only our tools can read, so "no lock-in" is a claim you can check.

Is there a discount if I'm a friend, or a charity?

Standard pricing applies to everyone. A friend can be gifted a Session outright, but ongoing work isn't discounted. Discounting ongoing work is how a one-person business quietly stops being able to do the work properly.

Who actually does the work?

Simon. Every engagement is with him directly: the strategy, the build and the delivery. There is nobody to hand you off to, which is the point and also the limit. Capacity is real and finite, so we would rather scope tight and deliver than over-promise. More about Simon.

Start with a conversation

Thirty minutes, free, no deck. We work out what your business does, where the time is going, and whether any of the above is the right first move. If it isn't, we'll say so.
